Master's degree
The research-oriented master’s degreee programme Industrial Business Management, based on European requirements, aims at ensuring the deepening of knowledge and a high level of training for the graduates interested in concepts, practices and current solutions in this domain, as well as the development of their scientific research abilities. Thus, the graduates of the master's study programme can be scientifically consecrated by means of the doctoral training in the domain.
The master's domain the study programme falls into is Engineering and Management and the duration of the studies is 2 years (120 ECTS credits). The programme is coordinated by the Research Centre C05b - Economic Engineering and Production Systems.
The study programme is structured in two branches that have a set of common courses in the first year, first semester (Financial Management and Analysis of Economic Activity, Strategies in Investment Management, Strategies and Policies for Sustainable Development in Industry, Intellectual Property in Industrial Business, etc.). Starting with the second semester, the two branches have specific courses:
Industrial Business Management
Intellectual Property in Industrial Business, Maintenance Management, Robust Design Management, Industrial Business Management, Managerial Accounting, Business Communication and Negotiation, International Economic Relationships.
Entrepreneurship
Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship, Sales Management, Organizational Communication, Business Recovery, Industrial Business Development, Asset Evaluation for Sales and Divestiture, Industrial Business Risk Management, Industrial Business Legislation.
The mission of the study programme
The mission of the master’s degree study programme is to provide master’s students with the cognitive and behavioral skills necessary to become specialists in solving specific managerial situations in an increasingly complex and dynamic business environment. By the superior capacity for analysis and synthesis of processes and phenomena specific to industrial businesses, by the capacity to take on high-level responsibilities and risks in making decisions in conditions of maximum stress, by the formation of a critical and realistic thinking system, but especially by the acquisition of the skills to design and implement successful business strategies, the programme aims at training businessmen and leaders aware of the managerial responsibility of the companies in which they will work and of the importance of research as a premise for obtaining competitive advantage. Last but not least, the masteral studies ensure the training of skills for a research career in the domain of Engineering and Management, representing a basis for the doctoral studies.
The specialists trained in this study programme will have in-depth knowledge with practical implications in the management of industrial organizations which underlie the mechanisms that confer dynamism and innovation to the business environment, they will be able to develop strategies in investment management, the appropriate use of the software specific to research. At the same time, they will use advanced knowledge and practical skills in the analysis, formulation and adoption of decisions, in the development of market-specific strategies having an entrepreneurial thinking.

The graduates can equally develop their skills acquired in a doctoral programme, they can be active and responsible employees in companies with an industrial profile and they can open or develop their own businesses.
The master's domain this study programme falls into is Industrial Engineering. The duration of the studies is 2 years (120 ECTS credits). The students acquire skills in implementing and auditing the quality management system in industrial engineering, in developing and implementing the integrated system quality-environment / quality -environment - health and occupational safety, in in-depth analysis of the systems’ reliability and security used in industrial engineering, in developing methods, appropriate maintenance systems and procedures, in using the methods, procedures, means, algorithms, software, etc. meant to be applied in the scientific design and research in industrial engineering.
Perspectives after graduation: quality specialist, quality auditor, project/programme manager; the graduates of the master's programme have multiple employment opportunities because they can work both in the domain of industrial engineering and in compatible fields such as mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, materials science and engineering, engineering and management, as quality specialist, quality auditor, project/programme manager in industrial engineering, maintenance engineer, etc.
The master's domain this study programme falls into is Industrial Engineering. The duration of the studies is 2 years (120 ECTS credits). The students acquire skills in the development of new products and technologies, in the design of technological processes for the manufacture of metal and plastic products, in the use of the design techniques and in the implementation of enterprise management, in the quality management and in the industrial project management. The master's programme is a professional one and it is supported by 11 top industrial companies from Brașov area. The graduation of this study programme offers graduates the possibility to pick up the profession of manufacturing process engineer, as well as other professions in the domain of Industrial Engineering, in companies that support the master's programme or in other companies in the country or abroad.

The master's domain this study programme falls into is Industrial Engineering. The duration of the studies is 2 years (120 ECTS credits). The students acquire skills in using current strategies and techniques in manufacturing engineering for the implementation of the CAD/CAPP/CAM concepts, simultaneous engineering, industry 4.0, as well as scientific research skills.
